Based sometime in the late sixties.

Adam Trevellyn, the owner of a trawler within a shrinking industry of fishing vessels. He was forced for fiscal reasons to make the journey to the fishing grounds in stormy weather. Accidents will happen, and this afternoon would have been the same time his wife was about to tell him she was pregnant again. 

The story has a plot in mind and an unfortunate situation is encountered.
