I love a good mystery. I completely respect the great authors who have written in this genre, and I am sure you all have your favourites.
I've tried different methods of preparation for writing a story.
A notebook: Generally ends up as a pile of scribbled notes.
Software: Loads of good ones available for free. Both boring and time-consuming. By the time you have finished compiling the characters and have logged all of the scenes' features. You WILL have lost all spontaneity to write.
SOMP: (Seat Of My Pants.) Probably my favourite. Start writing, buckle up and enjoy the ride!
My head is always swimming with fresh ideas for yet another story.
Fox is my favourite to write in a genre that includes mystery and crime.
